Greg Luckett
You lose an anchor, your dad loses an anchor, both while recovering stuff from the water. Sort of like a new family tradition?

Mark Gudschinsky
Dragon's sail is about 12 sqft and is square rigged. That is a good rig for running before the wind' date=' but does not point or tack well at all.Sam and Ben used the sculling hole at the top of the transom for the rudder/oar. Does Swimmer have that? It is in the plans so I am guessing she does. It centers up the rudder effect and stears pretty good. Sculling is okay too. Our sailors are learning many basics of boating with this contest and having loads of FUN! We found a small anchor with road for about $10 at the local marine supply house, but have not used it yet. That should be interesting learning how to set and retrieve an anchor and not too expensive if it is lost somehow [/quote']We left ours a full circle. Mark Gudschinsky
I must agree, I waste way too much time working and stuff when we could be doing important things like boating. I must learn to prioritize! Until then I'll at least try to get the rest of the film developed so Alexander can do a few posts that he has be eager to do. Mike Pennington
Did dad get the new dock pulled out of the water? And if not, is Alexander going to help him?

Mark Gudschinsky
The dock comes out after the 20th of this month (the end of hunting season.) We left The Flyer on her trailer, under cover at the lake. With any luck we'll be able to sneak in one more sailing weekend before giving up to winter. Hopefully we won't have to fit an ice breaking bow on her for the last hara.
