Barry Pyeatt
Truly beautiful Chris. I don't understand where you hid all those sailing items though. Lines, cleats, etc.
tdrown
Looks great! What do you have under the wheel there? Is that access to the lazaratte hatch or below he seats?
T. Nelson Surbrook
Man what a show off! That is one awesome job. I will think about it while I am on the water....If I only had it to do over....
Denis Goyette
This Is just awesome.
Chris Gerkin
Thank you for the messages. The cockpit is done but the lines and rigging are not. That will be soon. Under the wheel is a very old Russan compass.
Robert Cox
Very nice Chris. I like seeing the compas under the wheel. The space under the wheel is basicly unusable. I was given a $300 Richie compas by a friend and had thought the only place to mount a horizontal mounted compas was under the wheel. I'm planning to make a mount that goes between the seats and also doubles as a drink holder. 8) Bob

High C
Spectacular! I thought maybe that was a subwoofer under the wheel.

Steve Tarry
Chris, that's gorgeous!! Are the vertical boards that are painted white some sort of sheet material you've bent into that shape or are they individually laid up? Either way... Wow!!!
Chris Gerkin
You could get the white material in a sheet but I used T & G white pine and put the boards together. I don't think the sheet material is waterproof.
Stuart Benbow
Chris, I just noticed the little brown handle sticking out from the port seat front. That doesn't happen to be for the electric motor you've hidden in your keel, does it?
Chris Gerkin
Yes that is the throttle for the motor. I cut the top of the shaft and the handle off and then mounted the switch there in the cockpit. The handle needs more work but it seems OK. Frank Hagan
Very nice, Chris! Any idea when the launch date is? We'd all be interested in hearing a report on how the integral motor works, I'm sure. Or, are you going to be like Capt Jake and NEVER launch?!??! capt jake
Now that is not fair!!! I have to get the house storm ready!! Besides, I have no sails!!! I have some left over house wrap (or I will when I am done) that may be kinda fun to play with!!! You are right, probabaly next year, unfortunately.
