Frank Hagan Posted June 5, 2003 Report Share Posted June 5, 2003 The messing-about.com Hosting Services server is monitored by MultiRouter, Services Alive and Nagios monitoring service ... three are used to ensure any downtime is not a fault of a route from the monitoring service to our server (any point between them and us could cause a "false" down-time reading). There is a free monitoring service you can sign your URL up for, http://www.easymonitor.com. It does a good job, and is free, but it is subject to the "route bad" issue explained above. BUT, we can check it against our logs to verify if downtime has occurred.
