  1. Hi all, I am getting ready to paint a rushton rowboat that I skinned with 8 oz polyester. I plan to use glidden oil porch and floor paint. I saw Jeff's video on painting and now I am wondering about thinning. The last boat I did not thin, it was a Whitehall, and showed no color blotches on the inside. I will be using a off white/cream color this time as well. It would be neat to see it come through the inside a bit instead of the paper white polyester color.... so my question is simple, I cannot find what ratio Jeff or others use for first coat thinning? And what thinner acetone etc as well as mixing tips if possible. If it looks good on the inside,i want to try. If not, or risky, then it's better to stick with non thinned paint like my last boat. Thanks in advance for any tips. Mike b
