  1. A dfferent type of Art lost,,,,

Wood is the best looking material for boats, IMO, and many arts and crafts have been lost this way.
  2. Here's another movie demonstrating the concept of super stability in very small, personal craft: Enjoy!
  3. Personal Boat / Super Kayak

Frank, The better stability coupled with improved tracking appeal to many kayakers, and more so to people who want to fish from kayaks. Interestingly, an increasing number of kayak paddlers and anglers are getting weary of back pain, wetness, and other unwanted phenomena associated with using traditional SOT and sit-in kayaks, which are operated from the L sitting position. Here's a blog that's all about kayak ergonomics: http://painless-kayak-fishing.blogspot.com/2010/09/common-kayak-injuries.html ;-) People nowadays seem to be less inclined to make personal sacrifices for any ideal, and that includes recreational boating, I guess.
  4. Personal Boat / Super Kayak

Hi Frank, hello everyone, Long time no see For those of you who haven't yet had a chance to get acquainted with this patented, new type of very small, personal boat called W-kayak, I thought this movie and info could strike a cord, as they show it under sail (55 sq ft), sans outriggers. That blog alone contains some 500 pages, and the website that hosts it about 100 more, including numerous in-depth technical articles, dozens of movies, etc., So I think those of you who may be interested to learn more, are likely to find answers to their questions by searching there. http://wavewalk.com/blog/2010/09/10/upwind-sailing-the-w500-kayak-standing-up-no-outriggers/ The boat's principal applications are paddling and fishing, although some people have motorized it, usually with electric motors. BTW, W-Kayak is a commercial name. The boat has little in common with either sit-in or sit-on-top kayaks, except for its being used for similar applications, and propelled by similar means. S-Y
