  1. Great to hear you're doing better Carla, keep up the good work! Mitch
  2. Hi Chick, I built a Flyfisher a few years ago, it's the most used boat out of my 'fleet'. I've enjoyed seeing the B&B boats you have built over the years, especially the Outerbanks 20, beautiful design.
  3. Hi all, I'm looking for information on the Bay River Runner, the power boat version of the BRS. Anybody out there ever build one? Photos, building experience, any info would be helpful. I'm looking at what's available to build in a 13' - 16' boat with a 10 - 20 HP outboard and the BRR seems to be a good option. So far I've looked at Devlin's Candlefish 13 and a 14' skiff by Bateau and don't like the seating arrangements of either. Thank you, Mitch
  4. Wes, Very nice, excellent craftsmanship, beautiful boat! This will help me get through the upcoming New England winter!! Mitch
  5. Bill, I'm double checking the price, too good to be true. My supplier is Atlantic Plywood. Mitch
  6. Thanks for the feed back. Has anyone used the meranti on one of Graham's small canoes or kayaks? I used okume on a Flyfiher and had a little trouble with bending and splitting. I think that was mostly due to winter dryness in my shop. But after hearing the meranti is stiffer than okume I worry about making those bends. I will be building a Mocassin 2. Mitch
  7. What can anyone tell me about Hydrotek marine plywood? I've done a little research and it seems that 'Hydrotek' is the manufacturer(?); it conforms to BS1088; the face veneers are Meranti; it's heavier than Okume; and it's a lot cheaper than Okume. I'm looking at $110/sheet for 4mm x 4' x 8' for Okume and $27.50 for the same in Hydrotek both delivered. What's the deal? Anybody use this stuff? Mitch
  8. To those attending the 2012 Messabout, I'm from NH and can't make the Messabout for yet another year! So the only way I, and others like me, can enjoy the festivities is through pictures. PLEASE post as many pics as possible! Our cold weather has already started up here and one of our survival techniques is to watch videos and look at pictures of boats and people enjoying boating in warmer climates knowing they can enjoy their boats year round while we have to endure subzero weather, icy roads, shoveling snow storm after snow storm...sorry I'm getting a little carried away! So please help those less fortunate and give the gift that will allow us to survive the long, cold, dark winter. Your generous contributions of pictures and/or vedios will be greatly appreciated! Have a great time at the Messabout!! Mitch
  9. I built a Flyfisher 2 years ago and had the same problem. My solution, as said, was to unstitch and apply 2 - 3" squares of 8oz tape set in epoxy on both sides just forward of the cut. It worked and faired fine. Mitch
