Kudzu
Yesssss! Finally got to work on Kermit, my kayak hauler, and have the alternator repaired. I love this car but it can be a nightmare to work on. It took 6+ hours of labor (mine) to remove and replace the alternator. I could do this in 20-30 minutes on my pickup! You have to remove the radiator and various and sundry bits and pieces just to get it out of the car. I spent 20 minutes on one bolt on the alternator. Took the alternator to my buddy and he charged me a whooping $18 to repair it. Just needed to have one of the brushes replaced. Seems oil had gotten into the alternator and ruined that one brush. Took him less than 20 minutes to check it and repair it. Just glad to have it back!
